Kindergarten Slide Show

Here is the slide show from yesterday evening.  I was able to find a way to download it onto my computer.  I would be more than happy to share the file with you.  However, it is very large and the only way that my email account will allow me to send it to you would be through Google Drive.

I have also included the link to the website.  I am hoping that the link will work for you.  Will you please inform me if it doesn't?  There are also plenty of options for you on the Animoto website to share the video as well.

Kindergarten Year 2012-2013

If the following Animoto video does not work for you, it is because it runs on Flash.  If your device does not support Flash, you will not be able to see it.  Thanks!

20 Questions with friends in Texas

Today after our rest time, we had a chance to play 20 questions with our friends from Texas.  Mrs. Rocky set up a time with her friend, Mr. Gomez to play 20 questions over a Google Doc.  We played two games.  The first time it was our turn to guess what animal it could be.  (They told us it would be an animal)  Then it was our turn to think of an animal for them to guess.

It was so much fun! We hope to play with them again soon!

Here we are playing 20 Questions with Mr. Gomez's class

School Supplies Sent Home

Hi families,

We are cleaning house in Kindergarten!  I noticed that we had some extra of some school supplies.  I am sending home these extras to be used over the summer or to save for next year!  Thank you so much for your generosity this school year!

Take care,
Mrs. Rocky

Permission Slips

A PINK permission slip was sent home for our field trip to Riveredge.  Please be sure to return the PINK one instead of the ORANGE one.  The orange one did not have a place for a parent to sign.

Please be sure to return these permission slips as soon as you can.   There isn't a cost to this field trip!

MAPS testing on Monday!

Just a reminder that on Monday is our MAPS testing.  We will be starting right away at 9:00am.  It is VERY important that your child arrives ON TIME.

Thanks!

Thank You!

Dear Families,

Thank you for making me feel so loved and appreciated this past week!  The PTO did a fantastic job by providing all the teachers with a yummy lunch on Monday, desserts on Wednesday, and breakfast on Friday.    Plus, the new Keurig in the Teacher's Lounge is a huge hit!  I know that I've taken advantage of it!  :)

All of your cards, kind words, beautiful pictures, flowers (even dandy lions!), chocolate, books, and gift cards this past week were just amazing! I am so lucky to work at such a wonderful and caring school.

You all are awesome!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Take care,
Mrs. Rocky

Penny exchange game

In math today we played a money exchange game.  We had to roll the dice and take that many pennies.  When we had ten pennies we were able to trade them in for a dime.  When we had ten dimes we could trade it in for a dollar!  It was a lot of fun!

Please click on the link to see our friend AR play and explain the game!

Field Trip!

Tomorrow is our field trip!

Please be sure that your kindergartner is dressed for the weather tomorrow.
We will be outside all morning.

It may be a good idea to bring boots or old shoes to wear.  Last year at this time it was VERY muddy!

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thank you!

Thank you families for getting your child to school on time today!  It was such a big help because I was able to start off our PALS testing right away.

Also thank you for sending your child to school with a nice healthy breakfast!  Many friends shared with me that they had some yummy eggs, fruit, juice, toast, etc.  Hooray!

Thank you for all of your support!
